Metro reports 115,987 Metrorail passengers as of 1 p.m today

As of 1 p.m. today, Monday, the Fourth of July, Metro reports that 115,987 passengers had entered the Metrorail system. One year ago, Sunday, July 4, 2004, there were 73,782 passengers who had entered the Metrorail system by the same time.

As of 1 p.m. today, Metro reported no significant operational problems or delays on either Metrorail or Metrobus.

The most crowded stations have been the Vienna/Fairfax-GMU, Shady Grove and Franconia-Springfield Metrorail stations. The Stadium-Armory Metrorail station has also been busy with people going to the Washington Nationals game.
