Metro Reports 147,963 Metrorail Passengers As of 2 p.m Today

As of 2 p.m. today, Monday, the Fourth of July, Metro reports that 147,963 passengers had entered the Metrorail system. One year ago, Sunday, July 4, 2004, there were 91,884 passengers who had entered the Metrorail system by the same time.

As of 2 p.m. today, Metro reported no significant operational problems or delays on either Metrorail or Metrobus.

The most crowded stations have been the Vienna/Fairfax-GMU, Shady Grove and Franconia-Springfield Metrorail stations. The Stadium-Armory Metrorail station has also been busy with more than 20,000 people exiting the station.
