Metro reports 372,547 Metrorail passengersas of 8 p.m today, July 4

As of 8 p.m. today, Monday, the Fourth of July, Metro reports that 372,547 passengers had entered the Metrorail systemsurpassing the total number of riders on July 4, 2004, when it rained. One year ago, (July 4, 2004), there were 237,715 passengers who had entered the Metrorail system by the same time.

As of 8 p.m. today, Metro reported no significant operational problems or delays on either Metrorail or Metrobus.

The most crowded stations have been Federal Triangle, L’Enfant Plaza, Stadium Armory, Metro Center, Archives Navy-Memorial/Penn Quarter, Union Station and Gallery Place-Chinatown.
