Track Work This Weekend on the Red Line

This weekend, Metro will conduct track maintenance work on the Red Line. Customers traveling on the Red Line should plan accordingly and add 10 to 15 minutes of extra time into their schedules.

Please note the following schedule change for this weekend:

Red Line - On Saturday, July 9, and Sunday, July 10, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., trains will share one track between Fort Totten and Takoma.

To perform this work, all trains will share one track between these work locations -- trains traveling in opposite directions alternately on the same track.

On the Red Line between Fort Totten and Takoma, Metro personnel will perform routine track maintenance.
