Christian Kent named Director of MetroAccess Services

Christian Kent joined the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (Metro) as Director of MetroAccess Services, Metro’s ADA paratransit service that provides transportation for persons with disabilities in the Washington metropolitan region.

Kent brings 18 years of public transit experience and most recently served as general manager at FASTRAN, Fairfax County’s paratransit system. He has also served as general manager of contracted paratransit systems in Georgia, New Jersey, and California. He began his transit career in 1987 at the University of Virginia, where he started as a bus operator for the university’s transit service.

"I look forward to working closely with our customers and our many agency partners throughout the region to provide efficient, high-quality service," Kent said.

Kent holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree from the University of Virginia at Charlottesville.
