Metro Board to Host Town Hall Meeting Next Wednesday

Have a comment, complaint or question about Metro" The transit agency’s Board of Directors will be hosting a Town Hall Meeting in the District of Columbia on November 9.

Metro riders will have the opportunity to talk to members of the Metro Board as well as senior management on a variety of issues dealing with Metrorail, Metrobus and MetroAccess. Former Secretary of Transportation Rodney Slater will be the moderator for the meeting.

The meeting will include an open house, which is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. The Town Hall Meeting will begin at 7 p.m., and conclude at 9 p.m. in the Frank Reeves Municipal Center Atrium, 2000 14^th Street, N.W.

The Frank Reeves Municipal Center Atrium can be accessed via the U St/African-Amer Civil War Memorial/Cardozo Metrorail station on the Green Line, and Metrobus routes 90, 92, 96, X3, 52, 53, 54 and 66.

This is Metro’s fourth Town Hall Meeting. The first was held last November in D.C., followed by another in Falls Church, VA, in April, and a third meeting in College Park, MD, in September.

The public is invited to sign up to speak during the open house and the meeting.

Metro riders can view exhibits, pick up some additional information and talk to officials about a variety of topics including future bus projects, safety and security, dedicated funding, new rail cars and employment opportunities during the open house.
