Metrorail to Open At 6 a.m. this Saturday Morning for the 18th Annual Fannie Mae Foundation Help the Homeless Walkathon
This Saturday, November 19, the Metrorail system will open one hour early, at 6 a.m., to accommodate the crowds expected to attend the 18th Annual Help the Homeless Walkathon, which begins at 9 a.m.
The walk will occur between 7th and 14th Street, N.W., on the National Mall.
Participants and spectators are encouraged to take Metrorail and exit at the Archives-Navy Memorial Metrorail station on the Green and Yellow Lines, Federal Triangle, and Smithsonian on the Blue and Orange Lines, or Gallery Place-Chinatown on the Red, Yellow and Green Lines. For those driving to Metrorail stations to begin their trips, parking is free at Metro-operated parking lots and garages during weekends.
