Metrobus P1 and P2 detour begins January 30

Metrobus Routes P1 and P2 on the Anacostia-Eckington Line will be detoured around 3^rd and E streets SW beginning Monday, January30, to avoid unsafe driving conditions caused by Jersey barriers placed in the roadway due to nearby building construction.

Southbound P1 and P2 Metrobuses will operate on their regular routes to the intersection of 4^th and C streets SW. They will continue on <" xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />4^th Street SW, turn left on 3^rd Street, left on C Street, left on 4^th Street to E Street and continue the regular route.

Passengers at Federal Center SW station should board southbound buses at the stop on D Street SW, west of 3^rd Street, instead of the stop at 3^rd Street SW south of D Street. Riders at C and 4^th streets should board buses to Anacostia at the stop on the north side of C Street rather than the south side.

The route for northbound buses will not change.
