Public invited to January 31 meeting on Vienna/Fairfax-GMU Metrorail station capacity needs

A community outreach meeting for users of the Vienna/Fairfax-GMU Metrorail station and residents adjacent to the station to discuss the existing and future capacity needs of the station will be held on Tuesday, January 31 at <" xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />7:30 p.m. in the Oakton High School Cafeteria, 2900 Sutton Road, Vienna, VA.

The Vienna Metro Transit Station Capacity Study community meeting is sponsored by theWashington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority, Fairfax County and Providence District Supervisor Linda Smyth.

 

The upcoming meeting is a follow-up to a July 12 public outreach session. The community meeting will serve as an opportunity to both solicit additional community input, and share interim results of the initial outreach and analysis of the Vienna/Fairfax-GMU Metrorail station’s capacity needs.

 

The Vienna Metro Transit Station Capacity Study was completed last year and will be key to facilitating timely public improvements to the station to meet current and future needs at the Vienna/Fairfax-GMU Metrorail station.
