Metro Announces Weekend Service Changes

Metrorail passengers can expect minor delays on the Red, Blue and Yellow lines this weekend due to weekend track maintenance. Passengers traveling on these rail lines should plan accordingly and add at 10 to 15 minutes to their schedules. The weekend service changes are:

Red Line

On Saturday, February 11, and Sunday, February 12 from opening (7 a.m.) to 6 p.m., Red Line trains will share one track between the Friendship Heights and Van Ness-UDC Metrorail stations. Passengers traveling on this portion of the Red Line should add 10 minutes of travel time to their trip.

Blue Line

Starting on Friday, February 10 at 10 p.m., and continuing until Sunday, February 12 at midnight (closing) Blue Line trains will share one track between the Benning Road and Addison Road-Seat Pleasant Metrorail stations. Passengers traveling on this portion of the Blue Line should add 10 to 15 minutes of travel time to their trip.

Yellow Line

On Saturday, February 11, from 10 p.m. to closing (3 a.m.) all Yellow Line trains will share one track between the L" Enfant Plaza and Pentagon Metrorail stations. Passengers traveling on this portion of the Yellow Line should add 10 minutes of travel time to their trip.
