MetroAccess Establishes Trip Confirmation Calls

MetroAccess riders are now receiving automated telephone calls a day in advance to remind them of a scheduled trip.

The confirmation call is a new feature intended to assist customers in keeping track of their reservations and to provide them with an option to cancel a trip if their travel plans have changed.

Two weeks ago, MetroAccess successfully implemented automated arrival calls that alert riders when their MetroAccess vehicle arrives at the curb. The implementation arrival and confirmation calls are two of several service enhancements that Metro has implemented to improve its paratransit service.

Yesterday, Metro and its service provider, MV Transportation, announced the establishment of a Critical Trip Management Team to reduce the number of missed/extremely late trips, and to reach out to riders who have concerns about MetroAccess.
