Users can load up to $300 in value on their cards and should register their SmarTrip® cards to protect the value. If a registered SmarTrip® card is lost, the customer won’t lose the value on the card. For a $5 fee to replace the card itself, Metro will issue a new SmarTrip card with the value on the card at the time you notified us it was lost.
