Public hearing rescheduled to April 25

Metro’s public hearing originally scheduled for April 5 at the Arlington County Board Room has been rescheduled for April 25.

The public hearing will begin at 7 p.m. at the Arlington County Board Room, Courthouse Metro Building, 2100 Clarendon Blvd, Room 307, Arlington, VA.

The public hearing addresses a proposal to operate normal Metrobus and Metrorail weekday service on four federal holidays (Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, President’s Day, Columbus Day and Veterans’ Day) and charge regular fares and parking fees on those days.

A second element of the proposal includes the elimination of select Metrobus service and to use the savings in efforts to reduce overcrowding and improve schedule adherence on 18 Metrobus routes.
