Metro posts transcripts of testimony on Web site

Washington, DC, is a town where everyone wants to know, "Who said it and when did they say it" " so Metro has developed a new area on its web site where testimony given by Metro officials at public hearings can be read by viewers. The public can access the site by going to the Media Relations section of the web site or by clicking on http://content.wmata.com/about/MET_NEWS/pressroom/testimony/default.cfm.

Three transcripts that have been posted to date include: January 23 testimony of Metro Board Chair Gladys Mack before the District of Columbia Council Committee on Finance and Revenue; February 22 testimony of Metro Interim General Manager Dan Tangherlini before the District of Columbia Council Committee on Public Works and the Environment on the FY 2005 and FY 2006 Budgets; and March 23 testimony of Mr. Tangherlini before the District of Columbia Council Committee on Public Works and the Environment on the FY 2007 Metro Budget.

Metro will update the site each time an official testifies before a governmental body.
