Yesterday sets Eighth Highest Ridership Day in Metrorail History

Hundreds of thousands of people yesterday helped Metro set the transit agency’s eighth highest ridership day. Riders took 765,516 trips, which was 15,760 more trips than the same day last year. There were no significant events that contributed to yesterday’s numbers. Combined with Metrobus ridership, Metro provided nearly 1.2 million trips yesterday. Typical weekday bus ridership has been about 451,000 trips.
