Metro plans today to leave a bus parking lot that’s in the footprint of the District of Columbia’s new baseball stadium.

 

More than 70 buses will now park at a lot Metro is leasing from Pepco. located at First and R Streets, Southwest.

 

Metro had been leasing the lot at Half and O Streets in Southeast from  Southeast Land Development Associates. Buses had been parking at the locationfor about 20 years. The District has taken over ownership of the lot and other properties on the site of stadium. The city has agreed to pay costs associated with the move, including paving and other upgrades to the new parking lot.
