Metro Weekend Work to Impact Service

Weekend track maintenance on the Red and Orange lines and rail car testing on the Green Line will impact rail service on those lines this weekend.

Red Line Track Maintenance

On Saturday, April 29, from opening (7 a.m.) to closing (3 a.m.) Red Line trains will share one track between Judiciary Square and Rhode Island Avenue-Brentwood due to track maintenance. Passengers traveling on this portion of the Red Line should add 10 to 15 minutes of travel time for their trip.

Orange Line Track Maintenance

On Saturday, April 29, and Sunday, April 30, from opening (7 a.m.) to 8 p.m., Orange Line trains will share one track between Ballston-MU and East Falls Church due to track maintenance. Passengers traveling on this portion of the Orange Line should add 10 minutes of travel time for their trip.

Green Line Rail Car Tests

On Saturday, April 29, and Sunday, April 30, from opening (7 a.m.) to 4 p.m., Green Line trains will share one track between the Greenbelt and College Park Metrorail stations while Metro tests rail cars. Passengers traveling along this portion of the Green Line should add up to 10 minutes of travel time for their trip.
