Metro Transit Police Take Four Juveniles into Custody for Metrobus Assault

Four female juveniles accused of assaulting a 13-year old girl aboard a Metrobus in Southeast Washington last month were recently taken into custody by the Metro Transit Police Department.   

 

Two 13-year old females, a 14-year old female, and a 17-year old female have been charged with aggravated assault.

 

Metro Transit Police officials said the victim was attacked about 8:10 p.m., aboard a Metrobus operating the 92 route to the Congress Heights Metrorail station on Saturday, April 1, at 14th Street and Good Hope Road in Southeast. The victim was beaten by several female juveniles who approached the girl.

 

The victim sustained injuries to her face and eye during the assault, but was treated and released from a local hospital.

 

“Our investigation into this case is continuing and we would like to talk to anyone who may have witnessed this crime that we haven’t already talked to,” said Mike Daly, Captain of the Metro Transit Police Department Criminal Investigation Division.
