Metrobus routes 96 and 97 resume regular trip paths

The conclusion of construction on East Capitol Street has not only led to a relief in traffic, but has allowed for Metrobus routes 96 and 97 to return to their regular routes. The two Metrobuses will restart their original routes on Sunday July 2nd. Bus times, however, will not change.

Westbound buses 96 and 97 will continue their current routings to East Capitol and Second Streets. The buses will continue on East Capitol Street then will turn right on First Street NE, left on Constitution Avenue, right on First Street NW, right on Louisiana Avenue, right on D Street and left on First Street NE, where original routing will resume.

96 buses headed Eastbound will follow their current route to Union Station. Metrobuses will turn right on First Street NE, right on D Street, left on Louisiana Avenue NW, left on First Street, left on Constitution Avenue, right on First Street NE and left on East Capitol Street, where the buses will resume their regular route.

Eastbound 97 buses will continue the current route to First and D streets NE. Buses will turn right on D Street, left on Louisiana Avenue NW, left on First Street, left on Constitution Avenue, right on First Street NE, and left on East Capitol Street where the regular route will resume.
