Metro posts more information online

Metro has begun posting internal audits and contracts online. The move continues the interim general manager’s and Board’s push for more transparency of the transit agency.

“We’re continuing to open doors for passengers at all levels. Posting this information online allows for easier and faster access to information for the public and reduces the administrative time it takes to respond to individual requests,” said Dan Tangherlini, interim general manager.

Last year, Metro started a Riders’ Advisory Council, included citizen comments at Board meetings, posted Board and committee materials on the Internet, simulcast Board meetings and held Town Hall Meetings. Another Town Hall Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday.

The internal audits and active contracts are on the “Public Access to Records” page.
