Metro Board, Riders Advisory Council to Host Town Hall Meeting Wednesday

Have a comment, suggestion or question about Metro" The transit agency’s Board of Directors will be all ears Wednesday night at a Town Hall Meeting in Arlington, VA.

Metro riders will have the opportunity to talk to members of the Metro Board as well as senior management on a variety of issues dealing with Metrorail, Metrobus and MetroAccess.

This meeting will include an open house, which is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. The Town Hall Meeting will begin at 7 p.m., and conclude at 9 p.m. at the Rosslyn Spectrum Theater, 1611 North Kent Street in Arlington, two blocks east of the Rosslyn Metrorail station on the Blue and Orange Lines. To walk to the meeting from the Rosslyn station, exit the station via the N Moore St. & Wilson Blvd. exit, Walk approx. 1 block east on Wilson Blvd, turn left on N Kent St., and walk a short distance N on N Kent St.

 Riders can also travel by the 3A, B; 4A, B, H; 5A and 38B Metrobus routes to get to the meeting.

This is Metro’s sixth Town Hall Meeting in the past two years. The first was in November 2004. The meetings have been held in D.C. and suburban Maryland and Virginia.

The meeting will be moderated by Metro Board’s Second Vice Chair Christopher Zimmerman and Riders Advisory Council Chair Dennis Jaffe. The public is invited to sign up to speak at the meeting. Other Metro Board members will also attend the meeting.

Metro riders can view exhibits, pick up some additional information and talk to officials about a variety of topics, including new bus projects, safety and security, new rail cars and employment opportunities during the open house.
