Emergency crews responding to report of person struck by Metrorail train


Customers should expect major delays on Blue, Yellow Lines

Emergency personnel are responding to an area along the Blue and Yellow Line Metrorail tracks in Virginia where there is a preliminary report of a person being struck by a train.

At 10:40 a.m. officials received a preliminary report of someone struck by a train between the Braddock Road and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport Metrorail stations. Preliminary reports also indicate that the individual may be a Metro employee.

Customers can expect major delays in both directions due to the incident. Shuttle buses have been requested and will serve customers between Braddock Road and the Airport stations but are not likely to arrive until close to 11:30 a.m.
