Metro's Morgan Boulevard Metrorail station to close at 1 a.m. next Tuesday in preparation for U2 concert at FedEx Field

Extra trains and personnel on the Blue Line

It will be a “Beautiful Day,” for concertgoers attending the U2 concert at FedEx Field next Tuesday, September 29, as the Morgan Boulevard Metrorail station will stay open an extra hour (1 a.m.) to let concertgoers go home. No other Metrorail stations will allow people to enter beyond the normal closing time.

In anticipation of large crowds, Metro will place additional trains into service at the end of the concert. Additional personnel will be on hand at the Morgan Boulevard Metrorail station on the Blue Line, which is a short walk from the train station to the stadium.

Metro encourages people to buy a round-trip fare card or have enough money on their SmarTrip when first entering the rail system to avoid standing in long lines after the concert. Parking fees will be in effect at all Metrorail station facilities.
