Foggy Bottom-GWU Metrorail station temporarily closed due to a suspicious package near the train station

Shuttle buses to operate between the Farragut West and Rosslyn Metrorail stations

The Foggy Bottom-GWU Metrorail station is temporarily closed as of 2:30 p.m. at the request of the DC Metropolitan Police due to a report of a suspicious package outside the rail station.

Blue and Orange Line trains are passing through the station but not stopping to drop off or pick up riders.

Free shuttle bus service has been requested to operate between the Rosslyn and Farragut West Metrorail stations. Due to traffic and street closures associated with the incident, buses will have difficulty getting to the station. Customers should consider using the Farragut West Metrorail station on the Orange and Blue Lines if they are traveling in the direction of the New Carrollton and Largo Town Center Metrorail stations.
