Metro seeks customer input on Metrobus routes X1, X2 and X3

Public meetings to take place on November 10 and November 12

Metro and the District Department of Transportation are hosting two public meetings in November to discuss the Metrobus Benning Road/H Street Line Study as part of an effort to improve bus service along the corridor.

The Benning Road/H Street Line, which includes Metrobus routes X1, X2 and X3, has the fourth highest ridership of any line in the Metrobus system with an average of 13,600 passengers per weekday.

The purpose of the meetings is to get feedback from riders about draft recommendations for transit service improvements along the Benning Road-H Street corridor. Draft recommendations include the addition of a new express limited stop X9 route and the elimination of the X3 route.

The first meeting will take place Tuesday, November 10, at Sherwood Recreation Center, 640 10th Street, NE, Washington, D.C.

The second meeting will take place Thursday, November 12, at Marshall Heights Community Development Organization, 3939 Benning Road, NE, Washington D.C.

Both meetings will run from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. with an Open House at 6:30 p.m. and a presentation and group exercise from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The meetings are open to the public, and no registration is required.
