Metrorail to Open at 6 a.m. this Saturday for the Fannie Mae Help the Homeless Walkathon

This Saturday, Nov. 21, the Metrorail system will open one hour early, at 6 a.m., to accommodate the crowds expected to attend the 22nd Annual Help the Homeless Walkathon, which begins at 9 a.m.

The walk will take place between 7th and 14th Street, N.W., on the National Mall and around the Tidal Basin.
Participants and spectators are encouraged to take Metrorail and exit at the L=Enfant Plaza Metrorail station on the Blue, Orange, Yellow and Green lines, the Archives-Navy Memorial Metrorail station on the Green and Yellow lines, the Smithsonian Metrorail station on the Blue and Orange lines, or the Gallery Place-Chinatown Metrorail station on the Red, Yellow and Green lines. For those driving to Metrorail stations to begin their trips, parking is free at Metro-operated parking lots and garages during weekends.
