Metro announces Thanksgiving Day bus service changes


Four Metrobus routes detoured on Thanksgiving

On Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 26, four Metrobus lines will be detoured as a result of events in the Washington area. Customers using these Metrobus lines should add additional time for their travel.

Rerouting of Metrobus Route J2

From 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Metrobus route J2 will be rerouted due to the Bethesda/Chevy Chase YMCA Annual Turkey Chase 10K and 2 mile walk and run that will close the 9500 block of Old Georgetown Rd., in Bethesda, MD.

Rerouting of Metrobus Routes 10A, 10B

From 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Metrobus routes 10A and 10B will be rerouted for the Turkey Trot 5 miler that will close the 3500 block of Commonwealth Ave in Alexandria, VA.

Rerouting of Metrobus Route 4B

From 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., Metrobus route 4B will be rerouted due to the Arlington Christ Church Turkey Trot 5K that will close the 300 block of N. Highland St., in Arlington, VA.
