MetroAccess service to return to normal on Tuesday

Customers should expect delays due to road conditions

MetroAccess paratransit service for Tuesday, December 22, is expected to resume throughout the region at 5 a.m. Customers are advised that some locations may not be serviceable due to unsafe or impassable roads and sidewalks.

Icy road surfaces and streets with narrow paths plowed will cause the paratransit service vehicles to be moving much slower than usual and so they may fall behind schedule. MetroAccess officials will be monitoring road conditions constantly with an eye toward expanding safe service on as many roadways as possible.

To confirm or cancel a trip, customers can speak with a customer service representative at 301-562-5360 and press 2 for trip status. Or customers can use the automated system. Please avoid calling to check on your ride before or during the pick-up window. Trips may be canceled with as little as two hours' notice without penalty.
