Pentagon Metrorail station, Pentagon Transit Center reopen

Metrobuses servicing lower level bus bays at Pentagon, other bus providers still at Pentagon City

The Pentagon Metrorail station and the lower level of the Pentagon Transit Center have reopened now that the Federal Bureau of Investigation has finished a portion of its investigation into a shooting that took place Thursday evening, March 4, on the sidewalk near the station entrance and adjacent to the bus bays.

The north entrance to the Pentagon Metrorail station reopened as of 12:05 p.m. today, March 5. The southern entrance remains closed.

All Metrobuses that service the Pentagon Transit Center will provide service from the lower level of the Pentagon Transit Center starting at 1 p.m. Regional bus providers such as ART, DASH, Fairfax Connector, Loudoun County and PRTC will continue to provide bus service from the Pentagon City Metrorail station or their alternate locations due to limited space. PRTC buses are located at 11th and Eads streets.

When the FBI is finished with its work along the upper level of the Transit Center, regular bus pick-up and drop-off areas will be back in use.
