Pentagon City Metrorail station temporarily closed

Police investigating suspicious package

The Pentagon City Metrorail station (Blue, Yellow Lines) is temporarily closed to allow Metro Transit Police to investigate a suspicious package. There are currently major delays on the Yellow and Blue Lines.

The Blue and Yellow Lines are each operating in two segments. The Yellow Line is operating from Huntington to Crystal City Metrorail stations and from Pentagon to Fort Totten Metrorail stations. The Blue Line is operating from Franconia-Springfield to Crystal City Metrorail stations and from Pentagon to Largo Town Center Metrorail stations.

The incident began at about 5:32 p.m.
