National Cherry Blossom Festival parade to affect Metrobus routes


Bus rerouting established for Saturday's parade

Several Metrobus routes will be heavily impacted on Saturday morning, April 10, due to the National Cherry Blossom parade, impacting 14 Metrobus routes. Customers traveling via Metrobus downtown are likely to experience delays and rerouting before and during the parade.

The parade begins at 10 a.m., and proceeds along Constitution Avenue between 7th and 17th Streets. People attending the parade can get there on Metro and exiting at the Smithsonian and Federal Triangle Metrorail stations on the Blue and Orange lines or the Archives Navy-Memorial-Penn Quarter Metrorail station on the Green and Yellow lines.

The parade will impact the following Metrobus routes: 5A, 13, 32, 34, 36, 52, 54, 64, 70, 80, P6, S2, S4 and V8. Metro will restore normal service to these routes after the parade, at about 2 p.m.
