Metrobus detours April 30, May 2

Regional events to temporarily affect Metrobus service on 16 routes

Events occurring today (April 30) and Sunday (May 2) will force Metrobus detours along two routes in Virginia and 14 routes in the District of Columbia.

The following Metrobus routes will be detoured due to by weekend events:

Routes E2, E3 and E4 – Kennedy Street, NW, between 3rd and 5th streets will be closed from 2 to 10 p.m. today for Beat the Street – Fourth District in the District of Columbia.

Routes 9S and 23A – northbound Crystal Drive between 12th and 27th streets will be closed from 6 to 8:30 p.m. today for the Crystal Run 5k in Crystal City, Va.

Routes 32, 34, 36, 54, 64, 70, 96, P6, S2, S4 and V8 – Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, between 12th and 14 streets will be closed Sunday from 5 a.m. to 1 p.m. for the 13th Annual Race for Hope 5k in the District of Columbia.

Metrobus customers can use the Next Bus information service to find out when buses will arrive at a given stop, by logging onto Metro’s Web site or calling 202-637-7000 and saying, “Next Bus.”
