Four Metrobus routes detour


Public Service Recognition Week, White House Farmers' Market affect Metrobus travel

Metrobuses on four routes will detour due to Public Service Recognition Week events, beginning today, and the White House Farmers' Market, starting Thursday (May 6).

Routes P1, P2 and P6 north have begun detouring at 4th Street and Independence Avenue, SW. Southbound buses on those routes will redirect at Pennsylvania Avenue and 4th Street, NW. Detours will continue until 7 p.m. Sunday (May 9).

Route L2 south will detour from 1 to 8 p.m. Thursdays at H Street and Vermont Avenue, NW, and return to the route between I and K streets during the weekly farmers’ market. This detour will occur every Thursday until Nov. 18.

Metrobus customers can use the Next Bus information service to find out when buses will arrive at a given stop, by logging onto Metro’s Web site or calling 202-637-7000 and saying, “Next Bus.”
