Founded in 1953, Heidrick & Struggles has offices in 75 locations worldwide and is noted for its global practice dedicated to conducting CEO and Board of Director searches, and its expertise in identifying public sector leaders, including those in the transportation industry.

The organizations for which Heidrick & Struggles has conducted president or chief executive officer searches include the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP), the American Red Cross, Howard University, the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, Cross London Rail Links Ltd. and the General Aviation Manufacturers Association.

Heidrick & Struggles will begin its search immediately to assist the board with its goal of selecting a new general manager within six months.

A subcommittee of the Metro Board of Directors leading the search process recommended the selection of Heidrick & Struggles following the review of proposals and interviews of seven other search firms.
