Metrobuses detour on 16 routes


Regional events force Metrobuses to temporarily re-route

Metrobus customers will experience detours on 16 routes Sunday (May 16) due to George Washington University’s commencement, the 31st Annual Capitol Hill Classic 10k and 3k Fun Run, and the 23rd Annual Taste of Arlington.

Route P6 will detour from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 4th Street, N.W. and S.W., between Constitution and Independence avenues due to George Washington University’s commencement at the National Mall.

Routes 32, 34, 36, 90, 92, B2, D6, P6 and X8 will detour between 6 a.m. and noon at C Street, N.E., from 4th to 6th streets due to the 31st Annual Capitol Hill Classic 10k and 3k Fun Run.

Routes 1A, 1F, 2A, 2C, 10B, 23A and 38B will detour between 5 a.m. and 8 p.m. at Wilson Boulevard, Arlington, Va., from N. Randolph Street to Glebe Road due to the 23rd Annual Taste of Arlington.

Metro service operations managers will monitor the events and adjust schedules as necessary.

Metrobus customers can use the Next Bus information service to find out when buses will arrive at a given stop, by logging onto Metro’s Web site or calling 202-637-7000 and saying, “Next Bus.”
