Forest Glen Metrorail station reopens


Station closed for two hours due to power outage

The Forest Glen Metrorail station on the Red Line reopened at 6:35 p.m.

The station was temporarily closed at 4:21 p.m. because its six high-speed elevators were out of service due to a power outage. The Forest Glen Metrorail station has no staircases or escalators. The only way to access the station is via elevator.

Metro operated free shuttle bus service between the Silver Spring and Wheaton Metrorail stations during the temporary station closure.
