Metro adds new fares to Web site trip planner

Passengers can now see the cost of their future Metro trips

In anticipation of Metro’s fare adjustments, Metro has updated the Trip Planner feature on its Web site to allow customers to see the cost of their future trips on Metrorail and Metrobus.

To use the feature, customers should go to metroopensdoors.com and enter the location, mode of transportation (bus, rail or both), and day and time of travel in the Trip Planner. Entering travel dates that are on or after June 27 will calculate a trip using new fares. Dates entered that are earlier than June 27 will reflect current fares.

The new fares displayed for trips on, or after, June 27 are subject to final approval by the Metro Board of Directors.
