Union Station Temporarily Closed

Police investigating possible shooting

Union Station Metrorail station is temporarily closed while Metro Transit Police investigate an initial report of a possible shooting that took place in the station. Trains are passing through the station but are not stopping.

Trains are taking turns sharing one track between Judiciary Square and New York Avenue Metrorail stations while police are investigating an area of the tracks and platform as a possible crime scene.

The incident took place at about 1:15 p.m. today.
