New-rate Transit Link Cards available June 21

Customers can purchase cards from commuter stores, online

As a convenience to customers, Metro is making Transit Link Cards for MARC, VRE and MTA riders available for sale on Monday, June 21, for use in July.

Cards already purchased this month will be honored through the end of June. The new cards will cost $92 plus the price of a MARC, MTA or VRE monthly ticket, and allow unlimited monthly rides on Metrobus and Metrorail.

Fares for weekly passes will increase on Sunday, June 27, when the fares are adjusted. Those passes will go on sale Thursday, June 24, at sales locations listed here.

The TLCs will be sold at commuter stores in Ballston, Rosslyn and Crystal City and online here. For details about the TLC, call MTA/MARC at 1-800-325-RAIL (7245), VRE at 703-413-4287 or Metro at 202-637-7000.

Metro is making the passes available early to give customers time to purchase passes and avoid potential crowding at sales locations.

More details on the phase-in of Metro fare adjustments are here.
