Columbia Heights Metrorail station reopens


Suspicious package deemed safe

The Columbia Heights Metrorail station on the Yellow and Green Lines reopened at 3:20 p.m. today, June 30, after law enforcement officials investigated a suspicious package near the station entrance and deemed the package to be safe.

The station was temporarily closed at 2:15 p.m. to allow officials to examine the package, which was located outside the station at 14th and Irving Streets, NW.
