Metrorail records 582,286 trips on Sunday, July 4th

Strong, reliable service provided for holiday crowds

More than one half million trips were taken on Metrorail on July 4th as riders traveled to see the Washington Nationals, attend festivities on the National Mall, and to see the fireworks. Riders took 582,286 trips on July 4th , approximately 48,920 fewer trips than in 2009.
