Metrobuses to detour on three routes beginning this weekend

Regional events force Metrobuses to temporarily re-route Aug. 1 to 6

Metrobus customers will experience detours on two routes on Sunday, Aug. 1, in Arlington, Va., and on one route from Monday to Friday, Aug. 2 to 6, in Maryland.

Arlington, Va.
Routes 10B and 23A will detour from 1 to 10 p.m. Sunday between the 2200 and 2400 blocks of Kenmore Street due to the Nauck Summer in the Parks event. Detoured buses will use South Shirlington Road instead of South Kenmore Street south of 22 Street South.

Maryland
Route R12 will detour from 7 a.m. Monday to 7 p.m. Friday due to a roadway construction project at Schrom Hill Park Circle. Buses will use Megan Lane and Mathew Street. There will be no service on Hanover Parkway or Greenbrook Drive, west of Mathew Street and Megan Lane.

Metrobus customers can use the Next Bus information service to find out when buses will arrive at a given stop, by logging onto Metro’s website or calling 202-637-7000 and saying, “Next Bus.”
