Metrobuses to detour on three routes this weekend

Routes will bypass possible congestion caused by community activities

Metrobus customers will experience detours on routes 10B and 23A in Arlington, Va., on Saturday, Aug. 21, and W2 in the District of Columbia on Sunday, Aug. 22, due to area events.

Route 10B and 23A will detour from 1 to 10 p.m. on Saturday at Kenmore Street between 22nd Street and Shirlington Road due to the Nauck Summer in the Parks. Buses will use South Shirlington instead of South Kenmore below 22 Street South.

Route W2 will detour from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday from Mellon Street, SE, onto Newcomb Street, SE, between 5th Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue due to a neighborhood block party.

Metrobus customers can use the Next Bus information service to find out when buses will arrive at a given stop, by logging onto Metro’s website at metropensdoors.com or calling 202-637-7000 and saying, “Next Bus.”
