Metrobus Service Evaluation Study continues with public meetings
Metro seeks customer input to help improve service on four Metrobus lines
Metro will host five public meetings between Aug. 31 and Sept. 23 as part of a Service Evaluation Study to improve Metrobus service along four bus lines. The study began in June 2010 and is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
The purpose of the Service Evaluation Study is to review the productivity, travel time and reliability of certain bus lines and make recommendations for more efficient bus operations. Information from the public, bus operators and planners is being used to examine ridership, trip frequency, travel time, reliability and other quality-of-service indicators for the following bus lines:
• Bladensburg Road-Anacostia Line (B2)
• Oxon Hill-Suitland Line (D12, D13, D14)
• McLean-Crystal City Line (23A, 23C)
• Ballston-Bradlee-Pentagon Line (25A, 25C, 25D)
Public meetings for each line are scheduled to take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. with an open house from 6:30 to 7 p.m. followed immediately by the general meeting. Meetings will take place as follows:
