Metrobuses to detour around events this weekend


Races, festivals force Metro to temporarily alter routes in the District of Columbia, Arlington

Metrobus customers will experience detours on routes 3A, 3B, 3E 7A, 7F, 9A, 10A, 16B, 16J, 23A and 25A in Arlington, Va., on Saturday, Sept. 11, and 90, 92, 93, L2 13F and 13G in the District of Columbia on Sunday, Sept. 12, due to area events.

Routes 3A, 3B and 3E will detour onto Fort Myer Drive instead of North Moore Street from 6 to 10 a.m. on Saturday for the Rosslyn Jazz Festival.

Routes 7A, 7F, 9A, 10A, 16B, 16J, 23A and 25A will detour from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday at Army Navy Drive, South Eads Street and North Perimeter Drive for the 9th Annual Arlington Police, Fire and Sheriff 911 5k run.

Routes 90, 92, 93, 96 and L2 will detour from 4 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Sunday, using Columbia Road, NW, instead of 18th Street, NW, north of U Street for the 32nd Annual Adams Morgan Day Festival.

Routes 13F and 13G will detour from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday for Nation’s Triathlon. These routes will not service Constitution Avenue between 14th and 23rd Streets, NW.

Metrobus customers can use the Next Bus information service to find out when buses will arrive at a given stop, by logging onto Metro’s website at metropensdoors.com or calling 202-637-7000 and saying, “Next Bus.”
