Metrobuses to detour around events this weekend

Temporary route changes necessary in District of Columbia, Virginia

Metrobus customers will experience detours on Route X2 on Saturday, Sept. 18, in the District of Columbia and on route 10B Sunday, Sept. 19, in Mount Vernon and Alexandria, Va., due to area events.

Route X2 will use K Street between 14th and 8th streets, NE, from 6 to 10 a.m. on Saturday due to the 2010 H Street Festival.

Route 10B will use Columbus Street instead of S. Washington Street between Green and Jefferson streets on Sunday due to the Woodrow Wilson Bridge Half Marathon.

Metrobus customers can use the Next Bus information service to find out when buses will arrive at a given stop, by logging onto Metro’s website at metropensdoors.com or calling 202-637-7000 and saying, “Next Bus.”
