Metrobuses involved in minor accident in Montgomery County
Passengers sustain minor injuries
A Metrobus traveling on eastbound University Boulevard in Montgomery County, Md., rear-end a stopped Metrobus at about 7:15 a.m. today (Sept. 30). Both buses were in service at the time of the accident, and about 26 people sustained minor injuries. They were transported to area hospitals.
The striking vehicle, which sustained damage to the windshield and front door, was towed to a Metrobus garage. The bus operator of the striking vehicle was cited by Montgomery County Police for failing to control vehicle speed.
