Metrobuses detour on three routes Oct. 8-13


Local events cause temporary rerouting

Metrobuses will detour on one route on Friday, Oct. 8, and two routes from Tuesday, Oct. 12, to Wednesday, Oct. 13, in the District of Columbia due to a building dedication ceremony and a movie production.

The following routes will be affected:

Friday
Route 64 will detour from 9:30 a.m. to 12:40 p.m. at 11th Street, NW between L and M streets due to a building renaming and rededication ceremony. Buses will travel on Ninth Street southbound and on 13th Street northbound around the detour.

Tuesday
Routes P2 and P6 will detour from 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday to 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday at Third and Fourth streets, NW/SW between Constitution and Independence avenues; Pennsylvania Avenue, NW between Constitution Avenue and Third Street; and Maryland Avenue, SW between Third Street and Independence Avenue due to a movie production in the area. Buses will use Seventh Street in the detour area.

Metrobus customers can use the Next Bus information service to find out when buses will arrive at a given stop, by logging onto Metro’s website at metropensdoors.com or calling 202-637-7000 and saying, “Next Bus.”
