Customer input to help improve service on four Metrobus lines

Metro will host public meetings on Oct. 19 and 21 to continue discussions on the agency’s Service Evaluation Study for improving Metrobus service along four bus lines. At the meetings, Metro will present preliminary service recommendations that have resulted from a detailed assessment of the transit service, traffic operations and input gathered from riders, bus drivers, service planners and jurisdictional partners.

The study began in June and is expected to be completed by the end of the year. It involves the following bus lines:

• Oxon Hill-Suitland Line (D12, D13, D14)
• McLean-Crystal City Line (23A, 23C)
• Ballston-Bradlee-Pentagon Line (25A, 25C, 25D)

The public meeting on Oct. 19 will involve discussions about the Oxon Hill-Suitland Line and is scheduled from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Oxon Hill Public Library, 6200 Oxon Hill Road in Oxon Hill, Md.

The public meeting on Oct. 21 will involve discussions about the Bladensburg Road-Anacostia Line and is scheduled from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Anacostia Public Library, 1800 Good Hope Road, SE, in Washington, D.C.

The meetings will begin with an open house from 6:30 to 7 p.m. followed immediately by the general meeting. Meetings will be held next month to discuss the other lines involved in the study.
