Federal Center SW Metrorail station temporarily closed

Suspicious package reported near station

Metro has temporarily closed Federal Center SW Metrorail station while police investigate the report of a suspicious package at street-level near the station entrance. Trains are passing through the station without stopping. The issue began shortly after 4 p.m. today, Oct. 28.

Customers should avoid the station until the investigation has been completed.
